Applications
Which wood for which job?
Specifying the right material is half the battle. These guides match our timber and engineered products to common projects — by performance, not guesswork.

Wood for Furniture Manufacturing
For furniture manufacturing, the best timbers balance workability, stability and finish: walnut and teak for premium pieces, oak and ash for durable everyday furniture, and plywood/MDF for cost-effective carcassing.

Wood for Interior Joinery & Fit-Outs
Interior joinery — wardrobes, panelling, doors and built-ins — is best served by stable engineered panels (plywood, MDF, block board) finished with veneers or laminates, plus solid hardwood for visible frames and trims.

Wood for Flooring
The best flooring timbers are hard and dimensionally stable: white oak and ash for interiors, teak for premium and damp-prone areas, and Ipe for outdoor decks. Engineered boards add stability over underfloor heating.

Wood for Doors & Windows
Doors and windows need stability and weather resistance: Burma teak and African teak are the top choices for exterior frames and shutters, with engineered cores keeping large door leaves flat.

Wood for Outdoor Decking & Cladding
For decks and cladding, naturally durable hardwoods win: Ipe for maximum hardness and lifespan, and Burma/African teak for a warmer look with excellent weather resistance.
